AlFunFeed Kick-off meeting

AlFunFeed kick-off meeting

We kicked off our new EU-funded project in Vigo (Spain) on 1 October, hosted by the Universidad de Vigo. AlFunFeed, launched on 31 August 2025, aims to transform macroalgal waste into innovative and sustainable Single Cell Proteins for aquafeeds — reducing environmental impact and supporting a more circular blue economy.

Our international consortium brings together partners from Spain, Italy, Portugal and Greece, working to develop new low-impact diets and test them on European seabass.

AlFunFeed will:

🌱 Turn waste into value.
🐟 Improve aquafeeds.
🌍 Advancing a sustainable blue economy.
